South Decatur Village
Townhouses and single family detached homes

Working with the esteemed urban planning firm Tunnell, Spangler and Walsh and partner Stephen Arms of Marthasville Development, South Decatur Village was the first project by Civitas Housing Group and was a financial success for the firm.

Located in the City of Decatur, the site was acquired, master planned, and rezoned after accounting for neighborhood concerns. The final plan depicts 63 housing units—townhouses and single family detached—encircling a central green space, with an adjacent  PATH multi-use trail connecting to the Avondale MARTA station. .
Highland Park and Heritage on Memoria
Townhouses by the Atlanta BeltLine

Perhaps no residential development to date demonstrates the appeal of the BeltLine better than John Wieland’s enthusiastically received, high-end Highland Park townhouses straddling the Inman Park and Old Fourth Ward neighborhoods. Bruce served the company as Vice President for New Neighborhoods during this time.

Bruce oversaw the due diligence, acquisition and site planning on Heritage on Memorial (shown at left)--twenty large, elevator-served townhouses starting in the high $800s in the Reynoldstown neighborhood of Atlanta, one block from the BeltLine and new Madison Yards retail center..

Trust at Oakland City

A project of the Atlanta Land Trust, the Trust at Oakland City will mix 21 market rate units with 21 affordable townhouses.
Located directly on the BeltLine Westside Trail in the Oakland City neighborhood of SW Atlanta, other hallmarks of the project include a dense site plan, high quality design, and smaller units to enhance affordability. Kronberg Urbanists and Architects and home builder CItyScape Housing Partners are key partners. .

Bruce is serving as "soup to nuts" development consultant.
