South Decatur Village
Townhouses and single family detached homes

Working with the esteemed urban planning firm Tunnell, Spangler and Walsh and partner Stephen Arms of Marthasville Development, South Decatur Village was the first project by Civitas Housing Group and was a financial success for the firm.

Located in the City of Decatur, the site was acquired, master planned, and rezoned after accounting for neighborhood concerns. The final plan depicts 63 housing units—townhouses and single family detached—encircling a central green space, with an adjacent  PATH multi-use trail connecting to the Avondale MARTA station. Currently, the builder, David Weekley Homes, is winding up construction with most units sold.
Highland Park and Heritage on Memorial
Townhouses by the Atlanta BeltLine

Perhaps no residential development to date demonstrates the appeal of the BeltLine better than John Wieland’s enthusiastically received, high-end Highland Park townhouses straddling the Inman Park and Old Fourth Ward neighborhoods. Bruce served the company as Vice President for New Neighborhoods during this time.

Bruce oversaw the due diligence, acquisition and site planning on Heritage on Memorial (shown at left)--twenty large, elevator-served townhouses starting in the high $800s in the Reynoldstown neighborhood of Atlanta, literally one block from the BeltLine.

Trust at Oakland City

Mixed-income townhouses on the Beltline

Bruce is project manager for The Atlanta Land Trust's mixed-income, new construction townhouse community directly on the Westside Beltline trail in Oakland City of SW Atlanta. When completed, the Trust will be home to 42 families, many of whom will be first time homeowners, contributing to the revitalization of this historic community while keeping gentrification at bay.
